Wildcat Recreation Center

 

The Wildcat Recreation Center is located just inside the North Gate of Big Canoe. It features an outdoor pool with plenty of deck space and umbrellas for lounging in the sun or shade. Also,  Bocce Ball Courts, the Diamond Dog Park with a dedicated small & large dog park, as well as another large recreation field and paved walking path around the perimeter. Amongst these amenities, you'll also find a playground and basketball court.  A connector to the Red Loop Trail and Blue Loop Trail are located just across the street, and hikers can utilize the parking lot at the Wildcat Rec Center to begin their hiking journey.

Wildcat Pool

Features a 75-foot lap pool and a zero-entry kiddie pool with fun water play elements, perfect for families. A covered pavilion with ceiling fans, lighting, and a stone fireplace offers a shaded spot to gather and relax. Additional amenities include bathrooms with changing areas and showers, along with a children’s playground right nearby.

Bocce Courts

Bocce is one of Big Canoe’s most social and accessible sports, with organized league play offered in both spring and fall. To participate in a league, a bocce membership is required, though you can also join as a substitute when regular team members are unavailable. For those who prefer flexibility, non-members are welcome to “pay as you play.”

The bocce courts are open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and all equipment is available at the Racquet Club. To learn more about memberships or drop-in play, contact the Racquet Club at 706-268-3367.

Diamond Dog Park 

As the largest off-leash dog park in Big Canoe, Diamond Dog Park gives pets plenty of room to run and play. Separate areas are provided for large and small dogs, each equipped with new agility features that keep pups active and engaged. The park is open daily, offering a safe and welcoming space for exercise, training, and socializing.
